Free Banana Cat Amigurumi Pattern

Materials

• #2 sport weight yarns (I used Yarnart Jeans Crazy with colors code #8210 and Jeans white color code #1)
• Hook size 2.5 mm (I recommend this hook Hamanaka 2.5 mm) or these Hamanaka crochet hooks.
• Scissors, pins, needles, fiberfill stuffing.
• One pair of safety eyes size 8 mm. Or black thread for sewing the eyes and nose.

Abbreviations

This pattern is written using US TERM. For beginners, please refer to this post to learn about all basic crochet stitches for beginners.

• MR: magic ring (magic circle)
• Ch: chain stitch
• Ss: slip stitch
• Sc: single crochet stitch
• Inc: single crochet increase
• Dec: single crochet decrease
• BLO: back loop only
• FLO: front loop only
• St/ sts: Stitch/ Stitches
• Sk: skip stitch (do not count as a stitch)
• Fpc: front post crochet stitch
• […] … x time: Repeat instructions x times
• (…): Number of stitches of each round
• {…}: Work instructions within brackets into the same stitch

Notes

• Finished size is ~ 17 cm (make larger size with this super bulky yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby)
• For a better result, use single crochet cross stitch (yarn under) and invisible single crochet decrease stitch unless otherwise specified.
• Work in a continuous spiral unless otherwise specified.

Assembly

• Place the safety eyes between round 10 and 11 of the body cat, the distance between 2 eyes is 6 stitches apart.
• Stuff and sew the body cat to the body banana.
• Sew the peel to the body banana.
• Sew the arms between the body and the peel.
• Sew the ears to the head from round 3 to round 10.
• Embroider the eyes (if you don’t use safety eyes) at round 10 to round 12.
• Embroider the nose and the whiskers.
