Fox Crochet Pattern: Getting Started

Materials

You can choose any colors you like for your bunny, below is my choice for you as a reference. Looking for the best yarn for amigurumi project? Read the post about my best yarn for amigurumi to find out more.

Sport yarn (or find these amigurumi yarn) with colors: white, blue, orange, black, cyan.
Hook size 2.3 mm or try with these hooks.
Scissors, pins and needles. (crochet tool kit for beginners) (or find these)
Stuffing (polyfill, cotton wool, etc.).

Abbreviations

This pattern is written using US TERM. For beginners, please refer to this post to learn about all basic crochet stitches for beginners.

Rnd/R: Round/Row
MR: magic ring (magic circle)
Ch: chain stitch
Ss: slip stitch
Sc: single crochet stitch
Inc: single crochet increase
Dec: single crochet decrease
BLO: back loop only
FLO: front loop only
Dc: Double crochet stitch
FPC: Front post double crochet stitch
BPC: Back post double crochet stitch
St/ sts: Stitch/ Stitches
[…] … x time: Repeat instructions x times
(…): Number of stitches of each round
{…}: Work instructions within brackets into the same stitch

Notes:

Finished size is 10 cm (~4 inches) (sport yarn)
Gauge: 28 sts and 30 rows (10cm x 10cm)
Make invisible decrease crochet stitches to have a better result.
Work in a continuous spiral unless otherwise specified.

Arms

Sew the tail to the back.
Use white yarn to embroider some cross stitches on the sweater.

Two options for you to finish the style you love

Sew the arms to the body at round 13 and embroider the face
Sew the visor to the body from round 25.
