Materials

You can choose any colors you like, below is my choice for you as a reference. Looking for the best yarn for amigurumi project? Read the post about my best yarn for amigurumi to find out more.

• Sport yarn (or find these amigurumi yarn) with colors: pink, white, black.
• Hook size 2.3 mm or try with these hooks.
• Scissors, pins and needles. (crochet tool kit for beginners) (or find these)
• Stuffing (polyfill, cotton wool, etc.).

Abbreviations

This pattern is written using US TERM. For beginners, please refer to this post to learn about all basic crochet stitches for beginners.

• MR: magic ring (magic circle)
• Ch: chain stitch
• Ss: slip stitch
• Sc: single crochet stitch
• Inc: single crochet increase
• Dec: single crochet decrease
• BLO: back loop only
• FLO: front loop only
• St/ sts: Stitch/ Stitches
• […] … x time: Repeat instructions x times
• (…): Number of stitches of each round
• {…}: Work instructions within brackets into the same stitch

• Finished size is 16 cm (~6.3 inches) (sport yarn) 
• Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rows (10cm x 10cm)
• For a better result, use single crochet cross stitch (yarn under) and invisible single crochet decrease stitch.

HEAD + BODY 

Start with pink yarn

• Ch 17, and stitches are now working on both sides of the foundation chain.
• Rnd 1: inc into the second chain from the hook, sc 14, {sc 4}, sc 14, inc (36sts)
• Rnd 2: inc 2, sc 14, inc 4, sc 14, inc 2 (44sts)
• Rnd 3: sc 2, inc, sc 16, inc, sc 4, inc, sc 16, inc, sc 2 (48sts)
• Rnd 4: inc, sc 4, inc, sc 13, [inc, sc 4] 2 times, inc, sc 13, inc, sc 4 (54sts)
• Rnd 5: [sc 8, inc] 6 times (60sts)
• Rnd 6-10 (5 rnds): sc 60 (60sts)

Change to black yarn, put the pink tail at the front to make the hem

• Rnd 44: BLO sc 30 (30sts)
• Rnd 45-46 (2 rnds): sc 30 (30sts)
• Rnd 47: [sc 3, dec] 6 times (24sts)
• Rnd 48: [sc 2, dec] 6 times (18sts)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

• To make the hem: use the pink tail at round 43, join the hook into the remaining loops of round 43, make sure the head is facing you and do: FLO sc 30 (30sts)

Use pink yarn

Join the yarn to the first stitch of the remaining stitches of round 35 (img 5). Ch 1, work in rows, ch 1 at the end of each row, and turn.

• R1-6(6 rs): sc 7 (7sts)

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing. (img 6)

Left leg 

Join the yarn to the 12th stitch from the left edge of the body (or the first stitch of remaining stitches of round 35)

• Rnd 36: sc 24 (img 7), ch 6 (30sts)

Start stuffing, join into the first stitch of round 36 and crochet the first stitch of round 37. (img 8)

• Rnd 37: sc 24, sc 6(on chain) (30sts)
• Rnd 38-43 (6 rnds): sc 30 (30sts)

Change to black yarn, put the pink tail at the front to make the hem

• Rnd 44: BLO sc 30 (30sts)

• Ch 13, and stitches are now working on both sides of the foundation chain.

ASSEMBLY

• Sew the visor to the head from round 8 and sew the pink strap around the edge of the visor.
• Sew the white strap on the visor by the shape you want.
• Sew the black strap from the black belt to the visor (from round 28 to round 20) at the front of the body.
• Sew the gun at the back or aside of the body.
