Materials and notes

This kind of yarn, semi-cotton sport weight yarn, is the only yarn that I use mostly for my amigurumi projects. Click here to find out more about that.

If you are considering buying this yarn online on ETSY? Click here to view their colors. Alternatively, Yarnart Jeans is one of the best amigurumi yarns for making amigurumi toys that most amigurumi addicts are using it. Buy them here.

Make them in big sizes by using these kinds of yarns.

  • For a better result, use single crochet cross stitch (yarn under) and invisible single crochet decrease stitch unless otherwise specified.
  • Work in a continuous spiral.

Ball #1 Pattern

Besides the basic crochet stitches I mentioned above, you will need to learn to use this crochet stitch, puff stitch. I used it many times in these crochet Christmas ornaments.

  • Puff(Hdc): 3 Half double crochet stitch together in one stitch
